Back on the track (field)
I decided that it's time to update you guys on my recovery process. I started doing some more strenuous ankle mobility therapy around late August. It consisted of utilizing the BAPS board, doing some calf raises, cycling, and just trying to get back in running shape by slowly strengthening my leg and ankle again. By around October, I began jogging a lap or two around the track. Initially, my ankle was pretty stiff still, but I noticed a significant increase in my dorsiflexion compared to the beginning. When I felt more confident and comfortable with jogging, increased the length of my run to a mile. Then I slowly began running slightly faster. And now I'm doing some plyos, lifting, and running at 80-90% speed once in a while. Hopefully I've included the important details of my healing process. If I've left anything out, or you got any questions, comment on any posts or email me. Also, if you'd like to see the physical therapy exercises that my doctor had me doing, let me know and I can post videos of them on here.
